Amy currently lives in Ravenna, Ohio with her husband of six years, Andy, a geographer who is also an animal lover. Together, they keep a menagerie of rescued creatures, including five dogs, a cat, and four parrots. Amy and Andy are heavily involved in volunteering for animal rescues in the area, and are dedicated to ending the problem of pet overpopulation.
